I am a single parent! I have a 1 year old and am 5 months pregnant with my second! I am planning to strt school soon to be a Pharmacy Tech! I got my school paid for but i need to get out like a student loan of some type to help me with bills while i am in school and will not be working full time! I have heard about these loans that you dont have to pay back until 6 months after graduation! Can anyone help me????

I am waiting on my financial aide from my university to come in, but whatever reward money i do not receive i have to pay the rest of in college loans…..and it’s not going to be cheap. I was wondering what is the most dependable source where I can get a student loan that is possibly has a low interest rate and longer payment period so the payments are as big? If you have any suggestions or have knowledge from previous experience it would help so much!

Does it require you to provide two references? I know for sure that entrance counseling requires it but what about the consolidation?
Legit answer please. Anyone with an advertisement to apply for a loan will be reported.
I am not applying for student loan. I just want to know if the consolidation really does require 2 references because I don’t want to be a referencer if it don’t require it.

I have pretty bad credit, so i don’t think i’d be able to take out a regular loan. My parents have already taken out loans in my name for school (with my permission), so I know my social security number has passed through the system before. Would my credit affect my ability to get another student loan? What about already having some out in my name? Thanks!

I have been out of work, going on about seven months now. I may be defaulting on my student loan this month, which I pray will not be the case. Does anyone know of any type of program designed to help those who have student loans and are in endanger of going default on their loans? I have already used my three years of deferments up, due to low-paying positions.

It seems as though the only programs available to student debt holders only apply to Federal Loans. Just wandering if there is anything available to private student loan holders.

I am starting school in April and i will receive some financial aid however i will need to use a student loan as well. the total cost is 13,400. I am 19 and i have heard student loans sometimes become problems. How does the process of paying the money back go. Can i pay based on the amount i can afford to reinburse them?

In my Student Loan accounts it says that I will be able to use a reportable tax interest form 1098E. Does that mean I can use my loan repayments as a tax credit or deductible? By the way, My loans are currently on Forbearance.

I was just called by Sally Mae; the very rude collection agent was demanding that I make payment immediately for my loan that is 60 days overdue.
I am currently doing the paperwork for a William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan to consolidate all of my student loans together. The agent told me that would not take care of this loan because it is a private student loan not a federal. Is this true? What options do I have if any to get all of my loans consolidated together?

I have done FAFSA and been approved and a was granted an award for most of the tuition i just need a student loan on top of everything for bills, books, etc. does the school help u with that? I feel like I have been waiting forever for the financial aid office to aid me in anything!

Are there international loans for United State’s students who wish to study at an university in Canada?
Or, if I get a student loan in the US will I be able to use those funds to pay tuition at a Canadian university as well as living expenses?

Previous debt has been paid; However, this an old video of me on the phone with Sally Mae. Now this lady was much more patient than all the other reps, while the last two just about hung up on me. After listening to this a couple times it sounds like I really did ruin her day from the tone of her voice near the end. However, I don’t care – These people are ruthless and they deserve someone like me to dish it right back in their faces.

I applied for a chase select loan today and my application was denied…I got a loan from them my last two years of college but since then my financial situation has changed.
I have a credit card that I’m a few payments behind on…I know…bad, but I’m starting a payment program on the card this month. But my cosigner has excellent credit.I don’t know if the credit card is the reason why I was denied, they wouldn’t tell me over the phone, I’m supposed to get a letter in about a week.
I’m already getting Stafford loans and NYS TAP grant. Without the loan, there’s no way I can pay for my education. So my question is do you guys know of any banks who are more lenient about the student’s credit. Would it help to discuss my situation with the bank?
Also NYS has another student loan called NYSHELP, does anyone have experience with that loan, do they expect your family’s income level to be pretty low?

I have bad credit, but need a student loan. Stafford loans only offer 0 because I am on scholarship, but I still need money for books and rent. I have a co-signer with good credit available. Are there any loans that will just look at their information instead of my own?

Ok heres the thing, I want to go to college. I had a child in highschool so never applied then. I married & now that the kids are older (12, 10, 9) I want to go back to school. Every time I apply for aid I get turned down because of outstanding student loans. I have called them and they are my husbands not mine. They told me that I married him, hence I also married the outstanding loan. I know we are married but its not my fault he never paid the loan back once he was out of school. Its a 40,000.00 dollar loan and its just not in the butget right now to make 250.00 monthly pmts, which is what they want. All we can afford is about 50.00 a month, which will take a lifetime to pay back to 0.00. Is there any way aroun his student loan besides divorce?

At the time the first loan was taken out (it was for around 4,000 and it was to a school that was a scam, but they got away with itbecause they knew the ins and outs of pulling off their scam very well. . so I’m asking about applying for another loan / consolidation, not discussing the previous one.
