STUDENT LOANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok, I am going to be a sophomore in college this year at the University of Tennessee. Tuition, along with room and board, and a meal plan, is going to be approx. 14,000 for the year (Aug-May). I don’t qualify for federal aid, my parents make too much money, yet we can’t pay for my schooling. I did get ,500 in Stafford loans though. But even after that, I need about ,000 in additional private student loans to cover the rest after my scholarship.

I applied by myself and didn’t get approved because I don’t have any credit. My parents didnt get approved as cosigners, neither did my sisters (which got approved last year), or SEVEN other working people I tried. (a couple of which make k+ a year alone) I mean, really, what am I going to have to do to get an education? It shouldn’t be this hard!

And I know the economy sucks right now… but really?

    Have you ever tried manwhoring,

J/K but a job might not be the answer you wanna hear but alot of students go through school with a part time or even full time job also. It takes commitment but can be done.

If you can not afford this school, then you can not afford it. You can go to the fafsa website and click "Add a school Code" and have your info sent to many schools that you can attend for well under the 5,500 a year you can get in Stafford loans.

If you are having a hard time now, imagine what it will be like when you are a junior or senior (when the tuition is even more expensive). Better this happen NOW when you still have time to transfer. If you are a senior and have this happen you are devastated because any school you try to attend won’t take most of your upper level coursework and you have to have a min number of hours from the school that is awarding you your degree.

It may not seem like it now, but better now than in two years.
